The following are changes make by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation on the grading and ranking system.

First Announcement

It was announced earlier that dan certification will be awarded from 15 years old instead of 16 years old to bring the STF certification in line with Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters).

In view of the policy shift, the following poom and dan promotion test requirements will be adopted with immediate effect.

On reaching 15 years old, all poom belts shall be required to covert to 1st dan. The time required for the next promotion will be based on the date of conversion.

Second Announcement

With effect from the July 2008 grading, only those taking the dan grading will be tested on Saturday.  The other candidates will be graded on Sunday or under supplementary grading.  This means that Grade 1 (Junior) will now be graded together with the other club members.
