Acme has done it again X7 times
Sunday, 26 August 2007 19:00
Last Sunday was a night to remember; members of Acme could be heard miles away screaming their heads off. Their joy was justified as the Master of Ceremony proclaimed Acme Taekwondo as outright Champions for the 34th National Pesta Sukan Taekwondo Championships. This is the 7th time that Acme has claimed this coveted title.
Their fighting spirit paid off with a grand haul of 10 Golds, 8 Silvers and 5 Bronzes, thus claiming 3 out of the possible 6 categories that were up for graps. The Young Junior Girls, Junior Boys and Girls were enough to secure the Grand Title for Acme.
Another surprise came when Lilia Quaramit, from the Philippines also a member of Acme was awarded a trophy for being the “Best in Fighting Spirit”. Although injured from the earlier fights, she limped gracefully to the winners’ podium to receive her award. She was most delighted to be recognised by the President of the Singapore Taekwondo Federation for all her effort put in.
Acme Coaches would like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters, friends and parents for their tremendous support during the high tension 4 days of fierce competitions. Without any of them, none of these achievements would have been possible.
